The Municipality of the County of Richmond is currently accepting applications for the full-time term position of Public Works Technologist.

Responsibilities
The Public Works Technologist, reporting to the Director of Public Works, is generally responsible to perform complex administrative and professional tasks in the planning, organizing and management of public works operations including construction and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure, buildings, solid waste management infrastructure, streets and sidewalks.

Qualifications
• Two (2) year certificate or diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience preferred, however less experienced candidates may be considered.
• Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation would be considered an asset.

Terms and Conditions of Employment
The regular hours of work for the position are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The duration of the term position is 6 months with the start date to be negotiated. The position offers benefits in accordance with the Municipality’s Full-Time Term Employment Policy; salary will be determined based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.

Richmond County Public Works will be flushing water mains from October 21 (Monday) to October 25 (Friday morning). Flushing will start after 10 pm nightly. Customers may experience low water pressure and water discoloration during this period. Richmond County Public Works thanks their customers for their cooperation.
