October 1st is National Seniors’ Day 🧡
On this day, we proudly recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of older adults in Richmond County and across Canada.
📍 Did you know? Nearly 46% of Richmond County’s population is aged 55 and older — a powerful and diverse group whose wisdom, resilience, and community spirit shape the heart of our municipality.
Our seniors:
✅ Lead with experience
✅ Volunteer their time and talents
✅ Care for others and build strong community connections
✅ Inspire generations with their stories and leadership
We're grateful for the work of the Seniors Take Action Coalition of Richmond County and partners like:
• Local seniors’ clubs
• Dr. Kingston Community Health Centre
• Richmond River Roots
• Telile Community Television
… and many others, who are helping build an age-friendly and inclusive Richmond County.
🗣️ Warden Lois Landry, on behalf of Richmond County Municipal Council, officially proclaims October 1, 2025, as National Seniors’ Day in Richmond County.
Let us all take a moment to thank, celebrate, and support the senior members of our community, today and every day. 💐
