Eligibility

Applicants must be Richmond County residents, have lived here for at least 6 months, and be 18 years of age or older.

  • Vacancy: 1
  • Term: 5 years
  • Meetings: Minimum 4 per year

Supports newcomer settlement initiatives and promotes inclusive community development across Cape Breton.

IDEA Advisory Committee

  • Vacancies: 2
  • Term: 5 years
  • Meetings: Minimum 4 per year

Supports inclusion, accessibility, diversity, and equity initiatives across Richmond County and the Village of St. Peter’s.

Strait of Canso Superport Board

  • Vacancy: 1 alternate
  • Term: As determined by Council appointment
  • Meetings: Six times per year

Supports the development and promotion of the Strait of Canso as a transportation and shipping hub.
