Richmond Municipal Council has proclaimed September 23-29, 2024, as Right to Know Week to raise awareness of the crucial role that access to information plays in development, democracy, and equality. This year marks the 19th anniversary of Canadians celebrating Right to Know Week.

**PUBLIC NOTICE**
Department of Public Works
The Public Works Department will be participating in fire flow testing on a fire hydrant near the intersection of Burrels Lane and Highway 206 in Arichat. Customers may experience some water discolouration and sedimentation while the flow testing is taking place, however it should clear up after testing is complete. Please follow these recommendations:
-When hydrant flow testing is complete, run cold water through your interior faucets until water is clear.
-Wait until water clears before drinking.
-Avoid doing laundry until hydrant flow testing is completed and water runs clear.
-Don't fill your pools or hot tubs.
Richmond County Public Works thanks customers for their patience while we carry out these testing activities.
