Richmond Municipal Council Prioritizes Communities of Interest in Boundary Review

Richmond County, NS – At a Special Council meeting on January 31st, Richmond Municipal Council chose communities of interest as a top priority in putting forward a recommendation to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (UARB). The unanimous recommendation to maintain a 5-member Council with minor changes to the boundaries of each district follows a period of public consultation and research that began in July 2022.
Recycling Electronics - Bottle depots no longer accepting Electronics

Please be advised that the Richmond Solid Waste Management Facility (634 Highway 206, West Arichat) is now an EPRA-approved drop-off location for your end-of-life electronics.
Facility hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (closed on all civic holidays).
For a list of electronics accepted please go to Electronics Recycling For Businesses. Please note that the Richmond Solid Waste Management Facility does not accept waste from outside of Richmond County.
The Bottle Depots located in Richmond County will no longer be accepting electronics.
