Please be advised that there is a watermain break on Duncan Road in Louisdale. Customers in the affected area may experience low or no water pressure. Public Works are mobilizing for repairs and will post an update when available.

UPDATE: Time moved to 2:00 pm.
Please be advised that, due to maintenance being performed on Highway 320 in Lennox Passage, there will be a short duration water outage for customers from Harbourview Crescent through Lennox Passage around 1pm today. The outage is expected to be less than one hour.

Water & Sewer Connections Application Deadline for 2025

The Municipality of the County of Richmond Public Works Department advises residents of Richmond County that the deadline for the submission of Water and/or Sewer Connection Applications for 2025 is Monday, October 6, 2025
Applications are available by clicking on https://www.richmondcounty.ca/documents/forms/1915-water-sewer-application-2022/file or by visiting the Municipal Administration Building in Arichat.
Bulk Water Filling

Bulk Water Filling
The Municipality has been receiving requests for municipal water. The Municipality does not have the ability to deliver water to residents, however we are able to fill totes or large tanks from the Municipal water system. The bulk water rate is $5.90 / cubic meter (1000 liters) with a minimum charge of $40 per filling.
Please note that while the water supplied is from the potable water system, the Municipality makes no warranty or guarantee as to the quality or potability of the water whatsoever once it leaves the distribution system.
Residents wishing to have totes filled may pre-pay at the Municipal Office at 2357 Highway 206, Arichat, prior to contacting the Public Works Department to schedule filling. Please note that the time of filling will be during regular work hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm) and subject to staff availability. Bulk water will not be provided for recreational purposes (pool filling) due to the present strain on the water systems.
