Curbside Collection Notice - Pickup for Tuesday, February 24, 2026
Curbside collection scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2026, for the areas of Point Michaud, Lower L’Ardoise (excluding Martell Road), Fourchu, Framboise, North Framboise, L'Archeveque, Barren Hill Rd., Sterling, East Grand River, Lewis Cove Rd. and Grand River was not completed. Pick-up for the affected areas will be re-scheduled for Friday, February 27.

Nova Scotia Heritage Day - Facility Closures
Please note that all municipal facilities will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of Nova Scotia Heritage Day.
Observed on the third Monday of February, Heritage Day provides an opportunity to recognize and reflect on the people, events, and cultures that have shaped our province.
2026 Heritage Day Honouree: Joseph Willie Comeau
Joseph Willie Comeau (1876–1966) was an Acadian educator, entrepreneur, legislator, and senator from Digby County. A graduate of Collège Sainte-Anne, he worked as a teacher, operated several businesses, served nine terms in the Nova Scotia Legislature, and was appointed to the Senate of Canada in 1948. He is recognized for his longstanding contributions to public service and his advocacy for Acadian language, culture, and education in Nova Scotia.
