Unama’ki – Cape Breton Job Fair Series from April 1 to 14, 2025.
The Cape Breton Partnership, in collaboration with Nova Scotia Works offices from the YMCA of Cape Breton Employment Services Centre, Le Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse (CDENE), and Northside Employment & Resource Centre are hosting the Unama’ki – Cape Breton Job Fair Series from April 1 to 14, 2025.
The 2025 Unama’ki – Cape Breton Job Fair Series locations will include:
- April 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Port Hawkesbury Civic Centre, 606 Reeves Street, Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia
- April 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion, Pitman Hall, 74 Esplanade, Sydney, NS, B1P 1A1
- April 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
La salle des retraités, 15108 Cabot Trail, Chéticamp
April 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Amyloidosis is a rare and complex group of diseases where abnormal proteins (amyloid) build up in organs, leading to impairment or failure. Early diagnosis is key to effective treatment—catching it early can make all the difference. Let’s spread awareness and support those affected.

Partnership for Access Awareness Nova Scotia (PAANS) invites you to submit nominations for the 2025 Mel Hebb Hourglass Action Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the lives of persons with disabilities. These awards honor individuals, organizations, and communities making a real difference!
Award Categories:
🔹 Community Action Award – Recognizing communities creating inclusive opportunities.
🔹 Exceptional Service Award – Honoring organizations or members going beyond their mandate.
🔹 Encore Award – Celebrating individuals with disabilities who give back.
🔹 Access Award – Recognizing those improving accessibility beyond legal requirements.
🔹 Andre McConnell Award – Honoring dedicated public service champions.
🔹 Youth Champion Award – Celebrating young leaders raising awareness for accessibility.
These prestigious awards first launched in 1992, were renamed in honor of Mel Hebb, a true advocate for accessibility and inclusion.
