Richmond County Municipal Council Policy Updates - Amendments and New

On September 23, 2025, at the Regular Council meeting, Council adopted the following policies:

✅   Low Income Property Tax Exemption Program – Amendments

• Income threshold raised from $25,000 to $30,000
• Property tax credit increased from $150 to $200 for eligible applicants

✅  Municipal Fees Policy – New

• Fees from multiple by-laws and departments are now streamlined into a single policy

✅   Comfort Centre and Emergency Shelter Policy – Amendments

• Updated Appendix B: Comfort Centre List
• Updated Appendix B1: Comfort Centre Map
