Sunday, June 7, 1:00–3:00 PM — Art Meets Language: A Creative Exchange for Artists and Newcomers (15 participants total)

This workshop brings local artists and newcomers to Canada together to make art side by side. Drawing, collage, and hand-building activities are designed so that no prior experience is needed and language becomes part of the making rather than a barrier to it. The emphasis is on conversation — especially in English — and on the connections that happen when people create together. Think of this as a pilot for what could become a regular event.

This workshop is free to participate in and generously supported by the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, which provided funding for materials.
