Training Details: 
Queer 101 Training provides a foundational introduction to 2SLGBTQIA+ inclusion and beyond. This training explores why inclusive practices matter, how to create and maintain safer spaces, and the importance of understanding intersectionality. Participants will build knowledge around key concepts, including sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and sex assigned at birth, as well as emotional and physical attraction. The session includes a review of the 2SLGBTQIA+ acronym, the use of pronouns, and the role of inclusive language and symbols. Participants will also learn about micro and macro aggressions, with practical examples, and gain tools for responding when mistakes happen.

Location: Richmond Arena (Boardroom) - 3122 Whiteside Rd, Louisdale 

Training will be delivered by Truro Pride staff and is intended for a mature audience (18+).
