purple day epilepsy association

Purple Day is a global effort dedicated to promoting epilepsy awareness in countries around the world!

Every year, on March 26, people from around the world wear purple to show their support for those with epilepsy and raise awareness about the condition. Motivated by her own struggles with epilepsy, Cassidy Megan of Nova Scotia created the idea of Purple Day for Epilepsy in 2008. Since then, Purple Day has grown to be an international event. A proclamation was made on March 13, 2023, during the Committee of the Whole meeting in an effort to help raise awareness and to show support for those in our communities who live with epilepsy.
