PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Marketing Levy By-law Amendments
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of the Municipality of the County of Richmond intends to consider amendments to the Marketing Levy By-law, By-law No. 60. A public hearing will be held before Council considers second reading of the proposed amendments at a Special Meeting of Council.
The proposed amendments would update the By-law to include short-term rental platform operators and clarify how the Marketing Levy is collected, reported, and remitted.
Copies of the proposed amendments can be inspected at the Municipal Office, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. weekdays (excluding holidays).
Written comments may be emailed to or faxed to 902-226-1510 and will be accepted until the start of the hearing. Anyone wishing to speak in favour of, or in opposition to, the proposed amendments may register with the Municipal Clerk by 4 p.m. on the date of the hearing or upon arrival before the hearing begins.
Public Hearing: Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 6:30 p m.
Location: Council Chambers, 2357 Highway 206, Arichat, Richmond County.
