
NOVA SCOTIA REGULATORY AND APPEALS BOARD NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
IN THE MATTER OF AN APPLICATION by the LANDRIE LAKE WATER UTILITY, for approval of amendment to its Schedule of Rates and Charges for Water and Water Services and amendments to its Schedule of Rules and Regulations. This matter will be considered in a public hearing as follows:

Additional information about the matter is as follows:
- For a 4” meter customer, the average quarterly water bill, currently $1,047.95, is proposed to increase to $1,287.52 (a 9% increase) in 2026/27; increase to $1,399.43 (an 8.7% increase) in 2027/28; and increase to $1,444.41 (a 3.2% increase) in 2028/29.
- For an 8” meter customer, the average quarterly water bill, currently $13,669.88, is proposed to increase to $16,006.95 (a 17.1% increase) in 2026/27; increase to $17,036.37 (a 6.4% increase) in 2027/28; and increase to $17,569.99 (a 3.1% increase) in 2028/29.
- For a 10” meter customer, the average quarterly water bill, currently $35,145.01, is proposed to increase to $40,850.74 (a 16.2% increase) in 2026/27; increase to $43,334.97 (a 6.1 % increase) in 2027/28; and increase to $44,686.65 (a 3.1% increase) in 2028/29.
- The application also proposes a flat rate for the utility’s provision of raw water to a new customer, EverWind Fuels, who is proposing to build a hydrogen and ammonia production facility in Point Tupper. A quarterly flat rate of $12,574.50 is proposed in 2026/27; $13,281.70 (5.6% increase) in 2027/28; and $13,585.25 (a 2.3% increase) in 2028/29.
Upon reviewing the Application, the Board, in its Decision, may determine that the proposed amendments should be as requested, higher, or lower.
