Notice of Adoption - Amendments to the Central Richmond, Isle Madame, and St. Peter's Municipal Planning Strategies and Land Use By-laws

NOTICE OF ADOPTION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on December 16^th, 2025, the Council of the Municipality of the County of Richmond adopted the following planning documents, which are in effect as of the date of this publication:

1. Amendments to the Central Richmond, Isle Madame, and St. Peter’s Plan Areas’ Municipal Planning Strategies and Land Use By-laws to: update definitions related to dwelling types; increase the number of multiple-unit dwellings permitted as-of-right, allow the development of fourplexes and other small-scale multi-unit housing forms.

Copies of the planning documents and staff report, providing more detailed information on the documents, can be inspected at the office of the Eastern District Planning Commission, 606 Reeves Street, Unit 3, Port Hawkesbury, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays (excluding statutory holidays) or at www.edpc.ca or by contacting Toll-Free 1-888-625-5361.
