💜 March 26 is Purple Day 💜

Purple Day is a grassroots movement that began right here in Nova Scotia, founded by Cassidy Megan, and has grown into a global initiative to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and support those living with epilepsy.

In recognition of Purple Day, the Epilepsy Awareness flag and purple lights will be on display at the Richmond County Municipal Building.

Epilepsy affects more than 300,000 Canadians, including people right here in our community. By flying the flag and lighting our building purple, we hope to spark conversation and show people living with epilepsy, and their families, that they are not alone. Every gesture of awareness helps build a more inclusive and supportive community for all.
