Katie_LeBlanc.jpgKatie dedicated her time, energy, and compassion to serving both her country and her community. She proudly served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 16 years, with postings across Canada. Throughout her military career, she formed lasting friendships and touched many lives through her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support of others.

Beyond her military service, Katie was deeply committed to her family and community. While her husband and children were always her greatest priority, she also devoted countless hours to improving the lives of those around her in St. Peter’s. She volunteered with numerous local organizations and served on community boards, including the Richmond County Literacy Network, St. Peter’s Village Gym, and the St. Peter’s and Area Food Bank. She also supported the weekly Adult drop-in program, fundraising efforts for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and community events such as St. Peter’s Pirate Days and Swim the Canal.

Katie was a bright light in the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laugh, and genuine commitment to helping others. Through her compassion and dedication, she strengthened her community and enriched the lives of countless people.

Recognizing Katie through the In Memoriam Volunteer Recognition program honours not only the many hours she dedicated to serving others, but also the lasting legacy she leaves behind. Her impact will continue to be felt throughout Richmond County for years to come.
