Global Media and Information Literacy Week
October 24–31, 2025

Richmond County Municipal Council has proclaimed October 24 - 31, 2025, as Global Media and Information Literacy Week!

This year’s theme: “Minds Over AI – Media and Information Literacy in Digital Spaces”

Technology is changing how we access and share information. Online platforms often tailor content to us, and not everything we see is true. Misinformation and disinformation can affect public safety, health, and trust in our community.

By strengthening media and information literacy skills, we can:

✅ Spot misinformation
✅ Use online tools responsibly
✅ Stay safe and respectful online
✅ Support a stronger, more informed community
