Acadian Heritage Month
Nova Scotia is celebrating the third annual Acadian Heritage Month throughout August, honouring more than four centuries of French language, culture, and traditions in the province.
This year’s theme, “Building Connections, Celebrating Our Voices,” highlights the strength of Acadian communities across Nova Scotia and here at home in Richmond County.
Throughout August, residents are encouraged to take part in local and provincial celebrations, learn more about Acadian heritage, and reflect on the many contributions Acadian people have made to Richmond County and Nova Scotia.
