Volunteer of the Month, November 2025
Bradley Malcolm
Bradley has been a dedicated member of the West Bay Road Fire Department for many years. He currently serves as Truck Captain and plays an active role in many of the department’s initiatives, including the membership committee and training programs, and he is also an Advanced Medical First Responder.
Recently, Bradley was voted Firefighter of the Year for the department, a recognition for his consistent commitment to going above and beyond
In addition to his work with the fire department, Bradley is actively involved with the West Richmond Riders Association, volunteering his time to help maintain and improve the trails throughout Richmond County.

Volunteer of the Month, October 2025
Francine Stanton
Francine’s kindness, compassion, and attention to detail make her truly deserving of this recognition. As a Meals on Wheels driver, she delivers more than meals; she brings care and connection to residents across the county. Her warm smile and friendly presence brighten the day of everyone she visits.
Francine also assists with packing and organizing incoming meal shipments and helps with client satisfaction surveys. Additionally, she manages supplies for the VON “hygiene closet,” to ensure clients receive essential personal care items.
Even in her spare time, Francine continues to give back by volunteering at the Arichat Food Bank.

Kathryn Groves
In 2010, after thirteen years of living aboard their ship, Kathryn and her husband made River Bourgeois their permanent home and started Tiny Farm.
Kathryn joined the River Bourgeois Community Service Society Board of Directors as Treasurer, a role she continues to hold for 14 years, demonstrating unmatched dedication and ability. In addition, she contributes her time to the Fundraising Committee and is an active member of the Seniors Club.
Kathryn, the people of River Bourgeois are proud to call you and your husband their neighbours. We thank you for all you have given to our community and look forward to many more years of your involvement.

Volunteer of the Month, August 2025
Judy Morrison
Judy Morrison of Grand River Falls has dedicated much of her life to supporting her community. She began volunteering back in the ’70s, and her commitment to helping others has continued ever since.
Over the years, Judy has given her time to many local groups. She was an active member of the Grand River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and, for the past eight years, has been part of the Grand River Seniors.
Nine years ago, Judy joined the Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society, where she has become a cherished volunteer. She spends time with patients at the Strait Richmond Hospital, offers comfort at the Society’s Grief Comfort Teas, and helps raise awareness through the annual Daisy Day campaign.
Judy also shares her creativity on the decorating committee, which helped dedicate two hospital rooms to palliative care and is now improving the kitchen and family room. Her kindness and dedication continue to brighten the lives of many.

Joan Bona
Joan wears many hats, often all at once, with humility, never seeking recognition. As President and Secretary of the Catholic Women's League (CWL), Chair of the Fleur de Lis Seniors Historical Committee, and a lead organizer of the 175th Anniversary of Louisdale celebrations, Joan is an active member of the community.
From organizing and preserving archival materials for the Historical Committee to chairing the 175th Louisdale Anniversary Committee and everything in between, Joan’s passion for contributing to her community is exceptional. She completes each task with local pride.
