Fire Services Coordinator

The Municipality of the County of Richmond is currently accepting applications for the position of Fire Services Coordinator.
Working under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer, this full-time, term position to March 2027 provides operational, research, and planning support to volunteer fire departments (VFDs) operating within Richmond County and plays a key role in the administration of municipal fire services. The role supports VFD recruitment and training coordination, fire service planning, funding and records administration, equipment and infrastructure information, public and partner communication, and emergency management planning related to fire services, including coordination with Western Cape Breton REMO.
County Administration operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This position is based on a 35-hour work week. The Municipality has an approved salary scale for this position. Placement and incremental increases on this scale are based on qualifications, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities of this position.
