Richmond County is firmly focused on participating in the momentum generated by the re-emergence of Cape Breton Island as a dynamic travel destination. Working with Forerunner Creative, the county established three tourism brands to guide its tourism development strategy:

1. Isle Madame- “Isle of 100 coves”
2. St. Peter’s Canal- “Where the Ocean Meets the Inland Sea”
3. Cape Breton Blueways

This report represents hundreds of hours of touring and exploring the county, stakeholder interviews, background research and filtering through relevant precedents in order to produce a model that defines the tourism vision for Richmond County.
