The St. Peter’s Samsonville & Area Water Utility has made application to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board, on behalf of its water utility for approval for amendments to its Schedule of Rates and Charges for Water and Water Services, and amendments to its Schedule of Rules and Regulations.

Specific details of the application are set out below:

All person are entitled to attend the hearing. ANYONE WISHING TO HAVE FORMAL STANDING to present evidence or cross-examine witnesses should file such intention with the Board by no later than Friday, July 7, 2017 and a copy of their written evidence by no later than Friday, July 28, 2017. ANYONE WISHING TO SPEAK at the hearing but not wishing to cross-examine witnesses may do so at the hearing. Presentations will follow the order in which interested parties notify the Board of their intention to appear. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or by calling the Clerk at (902) 424-4448, or fax (902) 424-3919 no later than Friday, August 18, 2017. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION For a 5/8 meter, residential customer, the average current quarterly water bill is $136.08, and it is proposed to increase to $139.23(a 2.35 increase) in 2017/2018; $140.17,(a 0.7% increase) in 2018/2019; and $141.00(a 0.6 % increase in 2019/2020). The Utility is also requesting amendments for other meter services ranging from 1.8 % to 2.1% in 2017/2018; 1.1% to 1.9% in 2018/2019; and -0.6% to -0.3% in 2019/2020.
